Minor Requirements
For a minor, a total of five courses is required. Of those five courses, three must be core courses.
Core (Choose 3 for a total of 12 hours)
- HIST 360 - Colonial Latin American History
- HIST 361 - Latin America Since Independence
- LACS 101 - Introduction to Latin American and Caribbean Studies
- SPAN 300 - Modern Hispanic Literature and Culture
Electives (8 credit hours)
- Eight credit hours of elective courses with content primarily on Latin America and/or the Caribbean
Note: Students may meet the electives requirements for the minor if they perform significant reading or research on the region in other courses or in independent projects.
